Summer Theater Workshop
This exciting and creative camp is a joyful mash-up of imagination and craft: students work together to conceive and create a story, compose the songs while shaping characters. Guided by industry professionals, this process blends improvisation exercises that spark ideas while hands-on songwriting workshops create a full one-act score. Rehearsals then fuse text, score, movement, and design into a completely original new musical show. Visits from Broadway professionals and a trip to see a Broadway production deepen students’ understanding of pacing, production values, and professional expectations, The result is original musical theater that’s bold, ensemble-driven, and performance-ready—an experience that teaches collaboration, creative risk-taking, and the joy of making new work together.
